Writing III Narrative text : The Undelivered Feeling

            “To break person’s heart is simple, first give hopes and destroy it”. That quote is right. Love is feeling when you meet a person, make contact and finally you will feel comfortable with that person. Whenever you fall in love, it often creates a huge energy inside your mind, heart and life called ‘HOPE’ which has potential to change your mood, personality, or even your life. Unfortunately, the love in real life will not always meet happy ending like in fairytales because the more love you feel, the more hopes you get and once those hopes destroyed, the pain you take will know no limit. That was my feeling when I tried to write a love story in a blank paper called my life. The story was so good until I realize how fail the story was.

            The story started in a rainy day when I looking for a book in a bookstore. I finally found the book at the corner of store. There was two books left and then I took one book rapidly. When I took the book, a smooth hand took another one. It was a girl, she asked me about the book to ensure the title. When I turned my face, I saw a young beautiful girl with white smooth complexion and long hair stands in front of me. She asked many things to me about that book. I learned that she loved to read the book like I did. Before she went home, we gave our phone number to each other and I knew, her name was Wanda. It was the beginning of the storm.

            I felt like found a big oasis in the desert. She texted me every day, there was no day without her messages. She even asked my condition, my daily life my school, etc. She was fulfill the emptiness in my life when we were together. I like her welcome character, she told me everything about her family, hobbies, and more. It makes me think I was so valuable to her. The time passed, we had been together for one month. Slow but sure I started realized that I loved her.

            Day by day we were getting closer and closer. The more day passed, the more hopes I got. Later on I encourage myself to throw my ‘Jomblo’ status and make her to become my girlfriend. Yes, I planned to state my love to her so I prepared everything that I might be need like flower, song, poet everything as long as it helped my plan. I invited her to get dinner and she responded my invitation excitedly. The night finally came, we were getting dinner near beach where we usually spent our time together. When I was ready to state my feeling, her last word ruined everything I planned. She said that she was accepted other guy as her boyfriend and more, she said that she said I just a figure of brother to her, not more. It felt like stroke by thunder storm in a sunny day which made me cannot say anything. I wanted to say ‘ I LOVE YOU’ to her but I chose not to. It would hurt her feeling and mine as well.

            Indeed, this unsuccessful love story gave me so much pain. I never imagine that she just treat me as her brother, I got ‘Friend Zoned’ without I realized it. I just keep my feeling to her just for avoiding me from hurting her feeling.

Writing III : Narrative Text : When the Fate Says ‘NO!’

            Everyone must be proud if had chance to represent their region to national event. So do I, I was so proud when got chance to represent Bali to national event which held by WHO in Indonesia. As the leader of ‘Tabanan youth Red cross' community I was so happy, my subordinate also supported me to go to the event, my family, friend, red cross staff did the same thing. I felt like flying high in the sky like the gallant eagle but suddenly get shot by a poisonous arrow and fall to the earth. My pride, my effort, and my promise ruined by an accident. Something that I never expect will happen in my life.

            When I was in senior high school, I was an ambassador of my school to participate in ‘Tabanan youth Red Cross community’ under Tabanan’s Red Cross community name. The time passed, I was elected as their leader and this is my first time to lead an organization. I tried my best and luckily I could lead my team to win some competitions and even brought Tabanan as runner up in ‘Jumpa Bakti Gembira Province Bali 2011’. It was my biggest achievement as a leader.

            A few weeks later, the head of Tabanan Red Cross called me to the office. He said that I got an invitation letter from Indonesia Red Cross community to represent Bali in ‘Jumbara Nasional 2011’ that held by WHO in Gorontalo. Tabanan only had one ambassador not like the other regency which had 2 ambassador which made me thought to give my best for my regency. So since that day I studied hard about Red Cross material, came to the intern meeting and sharing, also trained my body every day. Just in a month my effort showed its result. I was confident enough to go to the National Jumbara.

            Three days before my flight I prepared everything that I need. The clothes, medicine, equipment, and many more things. At night after I was mepamit  my head suddenly felt dizzy even I cannot open my eyes. My parents told me to get rest but my head still dizzy and more, my body’s temperature increased. My parents became so worried so they brought me to the hospital and you know what? The doctor said that I got typhoid and must  got rest for few weeks. Oh my God, the doctor’s words just like a spear which thrust my heart again and again. In the end I cannot go to Gorontalo and Tabanan doesn’t has any single person as the ambassador.

            Indeed, that memory was so painful for me. My pride, my promise, and every single effort I did in a month become nothing! It disappeared like dust! To be honest I was so miserable that time or can be saying like a trauma. Even it was so painful but I learn one thing, as human every effort we did is cannot be separated with our fate.       

Writing III Descriptive Text : 'You Are the Apple of My Eye'

            ‘You are the apple of my eye’ this idiom is very suitable to I Gusti Ayu Made Novitasari. She is my girlfriend and I love her so much. She was born on November 4^th 1995 in Buleleng. Now she lives in Singaraja and studies at Japanese Education department UNDIKSHA SINGARAJA. My girlfriend is so beautiful and very care with me as her boyfriend but she still reach a ton of achievement as a student. I’m so proud of her.

            My girlfriend who called ‘Intan’ in her daily activity is a very beautiful girl. She has a Chinese appearance from her mother like slanted-eyes, white complexion, and straight hair. She who also called ‘Nuo Hui Can’ in Chinese has 160 cm height and 46 cm weight. It makes her looks ideal not too fat and not too thin.

            She is always care with me. When I was sick in my boarding house I cannot get up for a week but she visited me almost every day. She brought me some porridge and medicine after her class and accompanied me for one hour every day. I was so touched with her concern because I know she has many things to do like her assignment and business family. That’s make me feel so happy because I love the right girl.

            She had spent her time with me since she started her study at UNDIKSHA but looks like it doesn’t affect her achievement as student. At the beginning she reached achievement as queen of Japanese education department, and then she also reached the 2^nd runner-up position in Putera Puteri UNDIKSHA 2014. Recently, she competed in duta GENRE kabupaten Bueleleng 2014 along with me and luckily we got 2^nd runner up puteri for her and 2^nd runner-up putera for me. Her score in class was also wonderful. She got the 2^nd place for the best student in her class last semester.

            Indeed, now she become one of important person to me. A beautiful girl who care about you most and has many achievement, who do not want to have a girlfriend like that? Yes I’m so lucky to be with her. She is really ‘The apple of my eye’

              

Writing III Descriptive Text : THE ROCK !!!

         

             Dwayne Johnson who also known as ‘The Rock’ on the ring is my favorite wrestler. He was born on May 2^nd 1972 in Hayward, California. His height is 196 cm with 120 kg weight. Dwayne is the grandson of the famous wrestler Peter Maivia and the son of the wrestler as well Rocky Johnson which makes him become the third generation wrestler in his family tree. He is the great guy with many talents. Dwayne Johnson has skill as wrestler and actor who shows many achievement in his careers.

              As the wrestler, The Rock started his career in 1995. He was trained by his father who also the wrestler along with some of his relatives. After took a year for training Dwayne started his debut in 1996 when he known as ‘Rocky Maivia’ at that time. It was the combination of his grandfather and father’s name. Unfortunately, his decision to use his grandfather and father’s name made their fans angry. So after he became Intercontinental champion in 1998, Dwayne decided to use name ‘The Rock’. His great confidence made me proud because even people around him hated him, he still go on and prove that he is not follower of his grandfather and father.

            As an actor Dwayne has become the great actor as well. His first debut was in movie entitled ‘Beyond the Mat’ in 1999. After this first movie, some home production signed contract with him especially for some action movies that very suitable with him such as ‘The mummy returns’ (2001) ‘The scorpion king’ (2002) and still continuous until his movie in 2015 entitle ‘Fast and Furious 7’.

            Even he is so busy with both of his career but Dwayne proved that he could make many achievement in his careers. In 2001 he won the awards as the best actor in ‘Choice Sleazebag’ for his acting in ‘The Mummy returns’, also he nominated has the best fighter, the favorite male action star, favorite male butt kicker, and his last nomination as Artist of the year in 2014.

            Dwayne Johnson is the multitalented person. His achievement as wrestler and actor proved that he is the great guy who has spirit to do something for good even when you are hated by people around you. That undying spirit inspiring many of his fans.

THE BIGGER THE CAR, THE SAFER YOU ARE

Big cars become safer than small cars for two reasons. The first reason is it was a fact of physics that big car has heavier mass than small car. The small car has lighter mass which is generally not as safe as larger or big car. The mass of cars are very affecting how the cars perform on the road. The heavier the car the more stable it would move. Large vehicles that belong to big cars have longer hoods and bigger crush zones. It gives them an advantage in frontal crashes. Car’s hoods basically use to protect the car from any hit from outside and keep the passenger’s safe. The bigger hood it has, the bigger crush zone it would be. A small car that has little hood cannot give the passenger big crash zone. It would be more dangerous if incident happen rather than bigger cars. According to the 2011 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) figures, fatalities per million registered vehicles decreased 55 percent for the mini car category and 47 percent for the small car category. There was a 51 percent decrease in fatalities for midsize cars and 45 percent for large sedans.The second reason is the vehicles weight of big car its resistance to rolling over better than small car. While small cars don't roll over easily, they lack weight and, until recently, were less likely to have advanced safety features like electronic stability control (ESC) or full side airbags. So, having a big car is a better choice to guarantee your safety than small car.

Canteen “Seru” is the most crowded canteen in Kampus Bawah in which provides a lot of things for the students during their weekdays and there are also various activities there. When we come to canteen “Seru”, we will see so many things and people who are doing various activities there.Canteen “Seru”provides a lot of snacks, bread, noodles, crackers, candies, and also rice pockets as their food.There are also provides soft drinks, tea, coffee as their drinks.Not just food and drink, canteen “Seru” also has stove, bowls, spoons, forks, spatula, knives, pots, plates, frying pan and glasses to support the activities there.In the canteen “Seru”, we can see the seller do a lot of activities such as washing and cooking. All of buyers also can do some activities while waiting for their food, they sit and having chat each other. Some of them speak about their problem, their study, or even their score. Sometimes, the students eat or drink their meal at the canteen but some of them prefer to bring it to the class.Canteen “Seru” have two sellers, they can serve somethings that the buyers want. They can be waiter or cashier.Buyers just need to order what they want, then the waiter will come to serve their order .After finishing their meal, they can pay it to the cashier.Food and drink which are served in this canteen have different taste. They use their own flavor, its different with other. In general, the taste of the food in canteen Seru is very delicious, but if you want to have your own taste you can ask them to make it more spicy, sweet, salty or even more crispy.The refrigerator is full of sweet and fresh drink.The smell of food and drink often makes the students want to finish the class earlier.The smell of burning food, delicious, and spicy is like the devil that can disturb students’ concentration.And also, the smell of fragrant drink makes the students cannot endure their thirsty feeling. In the end, canteen “Seru” is exactly a place for students to get some food and drinks but sometimes it can disturb the concentration of students to study during the class. Especially during noon.

Final 'Free Hug' Campaign

Share Your Happiness Trough Hugs

There was a tall man with long hair and wearing eyeglasses was holding the board and wandering around the town square to offer the happiness to the other. At first, people ignored the man. They try to keep the distance with the man, may be they think he is insane or else, some response by smiling, and some take picture/video with their gadget to the man with ‘Free Hugs’ sign. But, the man doesn’t give up. He keep wandering around the city while offering the free hug. Next, there were elder woman who carry many plastic bags change this situation. She accepted the request from the man to get free hugs. This act attracts the people to accept, to support and to do the free hug.

Many people attracted to this campaign, everybody whether male, female, old and young wanted to get a free hugs from the man, it so touching. Unfortunately, bad thing happen. Police suddenly prohibited ‘Free Hugs’ campaign. Some people tried to explain to the police about what they did. After that, the man who starts this campaign tried to gather signatures from society to show how many people support the activity.  The result was shocking! He got 10.000 signatures from the societies who support this event. Finally, this campaign still goes on, the society accepted the event. In the end, the police also willing to accept the free hug.

There are so many people in our environment that need us. It’s not only about money, status, power, but also about caring and loving. At  last, no matter what is the gender, no matter we are young or old, but WE ARE SAME. Let’s pay more attention to them instead our individual. How selfish we are if we ignore them? By hugging, it will help people. At least, it decreases their pain, agony, desperate and sadness from being alone. So what are you waiting for? Lets take care for each other ^^.

a.         Major supporting sentence 1        :

-          Yes, he gave offers free hugs to everyone

Minor supporting sentence           :

-          At first, there was no one person that care about him.

-          But he never give up! He still with his paper  ' free hugs '

-          And again , no one cares

-          People are too busy with their own affairs , running short on time , perhaps it's they deem unimportant .

b.        Major supporting sentence 2        :

-          This guy is still running and offers a free hug , and finally an old woman approached and embraced warmly .

-          One by one people started coming over to this guy and hugged him

-          People who previously didn't care about this man , now came over and hugged warmly

-          Honestly, it's very touching

-          Eventually people started to follow what is in this man's doing .

-          They bring a paper with the same purpose to give free hugs to everyone ..

-          They cuddle with anyone who approached , they even cuddle together

-          But when everyone started to follow what was done by this man ,a policeman came and prevent this campaign.

-          This man is not desperate , he began collecting signatures of every person that he met.

-          And total signatures that he got it's about 10,000 .

-          So amazing !Finally the police can't stop this campaign , 10,000 people have supported this event

Concluding sentence         :

And I think, the main idea of this video is a warmth. Warmth which human beings must to share and love. Why all is not considered too important ? when they don't have to pay for it . Warm embrace , is a simple way to make everyone be , one .
